Why Register with us?
Our website is dedicated to all things related to children – we all know that raising children takes time, effort, and a lot of stuff! Kids outgrow things quickly and before you know it there’s a new list of things that you need to get, and a cupboard full of things that you don’t need anymore. Our website aims to help you find buyers and sellers in your local area so you can have a clear out and get rid of what you don’t need (and make a bit of money in the process), and find the things you need next without having to buy them new. We also have a great forum where you can post questions and share advice and tips.
It’s so easy to use – to search simply select a category or enter your postcode to browse listings in your local area. If you’re listings things for sale, simply register with us and Submit your ad. We like to think of it as easy recycling with benefits!
How does it work?
For Sellers: Simply register with us and start posting ads for free! As soon as your ad is approved, it is visible on our site – you can even add 3 photos to show people what you’re selling. People can search by selecting a category, or by location. If anyone is interested in your ad, they can contact you by sending a message to you through our site (they don’t see your email), or you can also list your details/phone number with the ad if you are happy for people to contact you directly. We provide you with your own personal dashboard so you can login and see how many times your ad has been viewed, and edit or delete your ad at any time – your ad will be valid for 3 months after you post it. Once your item has been sold you simply mark it sold on your dashboard.
For Buyers: You don’t need to register to see our ads. You can search your local area by entering your postcode, or you can select a category to find what you’re looking for. Once you find something you’re interested in, you can use the Contact form on the right of the ad to contact the buyer – make sure you enter your email address correctly so they can respond to your message.
What are the charges?
For personal use this site is absolutely free! For businesses, we charge a small fee for listing goods or services for sale. See here for businesses.
What age children is this for
This site is for children of all ages – from bump, to baby, to toddler all the way through to young adults.
Can anyone see my details
No – we hide your email address and let buyers contact you through you our website, emails will come from email@example.com so be sure to add this to your address book so it doesn’t get hidden by an over-zealous spam filter! If you are happy for buyers to see your details, you can enter these directly with the description of the ad.
How many items can I list
You can list an unlimited number of items! However we suggest where you have many bundles (eg for clothes) that you list them in bulk for ease.
Can I upload pictures?
You can upload up to 3 pictures with your ad.
How do I enquire about items?
Some ads contain direct contact details for the seller. Where the seller hasn’t listed their details, simply select the Contact tab on the right of the ad – this will let you send a message directly to the seller to enquire about the item. Please ensure you enter your email address correctly so the seller can contact you!
How do I know how my ad is doing?
You can see how your ad is doing in your dashboard – this includes how many times your ad has been viewed, and how long your ad has remaining. You access your dashboard from the top right of your screen after you login.
What if I want to change my ad?
You can change your ad at any point – simply go to your Dashboard, select your ad and click Edit below it. You access your dashboard from the top right of your screen after you login.
